Newsletter 280: The Journey Toward a Tailored AI for Dyslexic Thinkers
Building a Future Where AI Empowers Dyslexic Thinkers: Join the Mission Today!
Good morning!
As I sit down with my coffee today, reflecting on the incredible journey that has brought us to this point, I am filled with gratitude and excitement.
What started as a dream to create something transformative for dyslexic thinkers like myself has evolved into an 18-month journey of discovery, growth, and relentless pursuit of innovation.
Today, I want to share this journey with you—what we’ve accomplished, the lessons we’ve learned, and the vision driving us forward.
The Dream That Sparked It All
Eighteen months ago, when I first encountered the power of large language models like ChatGPT, I had an ambitious dream: to create a model specifically tailored to the unique needs of dyslexic thinkers.
The idea was simple yet profound—to build a tool to enhance how neurodivergent minds process information, bridging gaps and unlocking potential.
However, I quickly realized that building a large language model from scratch was beyond the scope of what I could achieve alone.
That realization wasn’t a setback; it was a pivot. Instead of shelving the idea, I started small, focusing on what I could do: building a community, creating content, and laying the foundation for something bigger.
From Newsletters to GPTs: Building the Foundation
The Dyslexic AI Newsletter was born from this pivot, and over the past 18 months, I’ve published 280 editions.
Each newsletter has been a labor of love, a way to share insights, resources, and tools designed to empower dyslexic thinkers and neurodivergent professionals.
Through these newsletters, I’ve connected with an incredible community of like-minded individuals, fostering conversations that have enriched this journey.
But the newsletter was just the beginning.
I also developed a couple of specialized GPTs tailored for dyslexic thinkers.
These tools, designed to align with how dyslexic minds process information, have received positive feedback from users, validating the potential of this work.
Creating these GPTs wasn’t just about functionality—it was about showing what’s possible when AI meets empathy and understanding.
The Evolution: Copilots, Agents, and Beyond
In recent weeks, our focus has shifted to developing Copilot and Agent tools—AI systems that complement the creative and logical strengths of dyslexic thinkers.
These tools are designed to:
• Copilots: Act as brainstorming partners, helping generate ideas and fostering creativity.
• Agents: Focus on precision, handling structured tasks, and enhancing productivity.
This work has been deeply rewarding and has brought us closer to realizing the original vision of creating AI tailored to neurodivergent needs.
Along the way, we discovered the Lagrant—a funding opportunity that could make the dream of building a full-scale, tailored large language model a reality.
The Next Frontier: A Large Language Model for Dyslexic Thinkers
The opportunity to create a large language model specifically designed for dyslexic thinkers is nothing short of revolutionary.
Imagine a model that understands how we think and amplifies our strengths while addressing challenges unique to neurodivergence.
This is no longer just a dream—it’s a possibility on the horizon.
In recent days, I’ve experienced personal breakthroughs that seemed impossible before.
As someone who has always struggled with coding, the thought of writing even a single line of code felt out of reach.
Yet, with the help of tools like Claude and VS Code Studio, I’ve been able to create the foundational architecture for this model.
This is something I never imagined I could do, and it’s a testament to the power of determination, creativity, and the right tools.
Now, I’m working closely with developers and engineers to bring this vision to life.
The dream I had 18 months ago is finally taking shape, and it’s one that I believe will empower countless dyslexic thinkers to harness the transformative potential of AI.
Why This Matters
This project is about more than technology—it’s about people. It’s about giving neurodivergent thinkers the tools they need to thrive in a world that hasn’t always been designed with them in mind.
It’s about fostering creativity, enhancing productivity, and showing that AI can be an ally in our personal and professional lives.
For me, this journey has been deeply personal.
It’s been about embracing my dyslexic mind, not as a limitation but as a strength.
It’s about creating a future where AI doesn’t just accommodate our differences but celebrates them.

Calling Dyslexic Coders: Help Us Shape the Code
I’ve recently made significant progress in developing the foundational code for this groundbreaking project.
However, as a dyslexic thinker new to coding, I’d love to connect with others who can review, refine, and enhance what we’ve created.
If you’re a coder, software developer, or AI engineer with experience—or just a passion for problem-solving—I’d love your help to:
• Review the code and provide feedback.
• Collaborate on development to ensure we’re on the right track.
• Share your unique insights to help us build a tool that truly serves dyslexic thinkers.
Reach out through the Circle Community or send me a direct message if you’re interested in contributing.
Let’s make this a collective effort!
Thank you for being part of this journey!
Together, we can create tools that empower neurodivergent thinkers worldwide and redefine how AI supports our unique cognitive strengths.
Let’s build the future, one line of code—and one connection—at a time.
