If you've been following my journey, you'll know that the entire concept of Dyslexic AI has been deeply rooted in my passion for both dyslexia and AI, viewed through the lens of Joseph Campbell's Hero's Journey.

This framework has been more than just a storytelling device for me—it's become a guiding principle in my personal and professional life.

My fascination with the Hero's Journey began about three years ago during a significant change.

While researching for our micro-school, I stumbled upon the Acton Academy, which frequently referenced Campbell's work.

From that moment, I was captivated by the concept and began incorporating it into every aspect of my life.

This newfound passion culminated in the creation of my e-book on dyslexia and AI, where the Hero's Journey served as the backbone of the content.

For those of you who have been with me from the start, you've likely heard me discuss this concept numerous times.

Today, I want to take you deeper into my own Hero's Journey—the story of how Dyslexic AI came to be.

Reflecting on the path that led me here, I'm reminded of how closely my experiences mirror the stages of Campbell's monomyth.

This story isn't just mine; it's a testament to the resilience within every neurodivergent thinker.

Let's explore how this journey unfolded and what it means for all of us.

The Ordinary World: A Life of Entrepreneurship and Hidden Potential

Before Dyslexic AI, I was an entrepreneur juggling business and family life.

Despite my dyslexia, I navigated the business world with determination. But deep down, I sensed there was more I could achieve.

The Call to Adventure: Discovering AI's Transformative Power

The pivotal moment came when I realized AI's potential as a tool for neurodivergent thinkers.

This sparked the idea for Dyslexic AI—a venture to empower others facing similar challenges.

Refusal of the Call: Doubt in the Face of Personal Turmoil

Doubts plagued me initially.

Could I build a new business after a painful divorce and the loss of my previous venture?

The passing of my parents added to my emotional burden, making the journey ahead seem insurmountable.

Meeting the Mentor: Finding Support in Unexpected Places

Support came from the neurodivergent community, friends, and mentors.

Most surprisingly, AI itself became a mentor, offering tools that made my vision achievable.

Crossing the Threshold: Launching Dyslexic AI

Launching Dyslexic AI marked my total commitment to this new path.

It was more than a business—it was a mission to help others harness AI to overcome their challenges.

Tests, Allies, Enemies: Navigating the Entrepreneurial Landscape

The journey was fraught with obstacles:

• Developing practical AI tools

• Reaching our target audience

• Overcoming financial constraints

• Battling self-doubt and skepticism

But for every challenge, I found allies in supportive community members and early adopters who believed in our vision.

Approach to the Inmost Cave: Facing Technical and Personal Setbacks

A significant technical failure nearly derailed the project.

Coupled with adjusting to shared custody and the emotional aftermath of divorce, this period tested my resolve like never before.

The Ordeal: When Everything Seemed Lost

Financial strains, technical failures, and personal losses converged at my lowest point.

I felt like I was losing my identity as an entrepreneur, a father, and an individual.

Reward: Breakthrough and Validation

Through sheer perseverance, we achieved a successful product launch.

The Road Back: Expanding Dyslexic AI

With renewed purpose, I began expanding Dyslexic AI.
