Newsletter 132: Embracing Dyslexic Thinking
🧠 A Tale of Two Conditions
Hello, everyone!
This is Coach Matt, and I'm thrilled to be connecting with you all once again. As I sit here with my 5 o'clock cup of coffee on this Daylight Savings Sunday, I'm filled with gratitude for this community we've built together.
A Tale of Two Conditions
I've been having some profound conversations with friends who, like me, live with ADHD. They've been grappling with the recent shortage of ADHD medications - a struggle I understand all too well, having battled with pain medication addiction after surgery. But what strikes me most is the stark contrast with dyslexia - a condition for which there is no medication.
The Dyslexic Advantage
This is why I've made it my mission to spread the knowledge I've accumulated about dyslexia. Over the past nine months, I've learned so much about how we, as dyslexics, think and process information. And I believe it's time we start viewing dyslexic thinking not as a disability, but as a unique skill set and an advantage.
Sharing the Knowledge
My goal is to share this knowledge with the world. I hope that by doing so, we can help others embrace their dyslexic thinking and become more successful professionals, students, and educators.
A Call to Action
I also hope that businesses, entrepreneurs, and companies will start to see the value in dyslexic thinking. It's not a disadvantage or a disability - it's a different way of seeing the world, and it can bring so much to the table.
Closing Thoughts
As we wrap up this edition of the newsletter, I want to thank you all for being a part of this journey. Let's continue to spread awareness, share our knowledge, and celebrate the unique advantages of dyslexic thinking. Together, we can make a difference.
Until next time, this is Coach Matt, signing off. Stay strong, stay positive, and keep embracing your unique way of thinking.
